GDPR compliance statement for Swift Digital

Introduction

On the 25th May 2018, the EU will make the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) effective in the UK. This will also mean a new Data Protection Act (DPA) that will accompany GDPR. The GDPR has been designed with the future and the digital age in mind with the aim of giving more consumers more access and protection for their personal data.

Our Promise

At Swift Digital Solutions we promise to ensure security and protection of client personal information that we collect and process and to provide a compliant approach to data protection.

We at Swift Digital Solutions have always followed the data protection laws, however, we understand the importance and necessity of updating the current program in place to meet the new regulation of GDPR and the UK law.

Swift Digital Solutions makes a promise to Protect the personal information that is collected from our clients, we are finalising an effective regime that demonstrates understanding and appreciation of the new law.

How is Swift Digital Preparing For GDPR?

With the new GDPR Law only coming into effect in a month Swift Digital Solutions are going to take this opportunity to update our existing and new clients on how we are preparing for the Law.

Firstly, we have updated our existing recordkeeping details so clients have a better way of now knowing what personal data Swift digital solutions hold on their behalf, where it comes from, how we share it and what we do with it.

Secondly, Swift Digital Solutions has reviewed our policies including but not limited to: Information security policy and Data security policy and updated them to keep in accordance with the new GDPR regulation changes.

Thirdly, at Swift Digital Solutions we have in place a process where a client can request their information or make changes if they need to.

At the beginning of February 2018 Swift, Digital Solutions undertook an Information audit which is to make sure Swift Digital Solutions is GDPR compliant when the new regulation comes into place.

Swift Digital Solutions uses the approach of Privacy of Design when starting a new project or working on an existing one. At Swift Digital Solutions we believe this is imperative and work hard on this to ensure that client personal data is kept safe and secure.

Swift Digital Solutions appointed an internal data controller Gemma Bunce, and are fully registered with the information commissioner’s office (ICO Registration Reference: ZA321366) Date of Registration 27th February 2018.

All Staff at Swift Digital Solutions is GDPR fully trained. Date of completed training was on 22/02/2018.

At Swift Digital Solutions we have always had a positive outlook on Data protection and focus on carrying on employee awareness and understanding when handling client personal and sensitive data. We understand it is vital that this continues when the GDPR regulation comes into place.
